BILLING SPECIALIST / INSURANCE BILLERThe BILLING SPECIALIST / INSURANCE BILLER is a member of the patient financial services team responsible for billing all patient claims.
In addition, the BILLING SPECIALIST / INSURANCE BILLER is responsible for tracking claim acknowledgements and rejections as well as correcting claim errors by adding Modifiers as required.
The duties of the BILLING SPECIALIST / INSURANCE BILLER include, but are not limited to:
Billing and editing claims utilizing the hospital's billing systemTracking claim acknowledgements and rejectionsCorrecting rejected claims - resubmitting when appropriateMonitoring 837 and 835 files within the billing systemReviewing edits in the billing systemThe successful candidate will possess the following:
Five (5) years of experience as Hospital BillerKnowledge of CCI edits, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 and revenue codesKnowledge of Hospital Review Cycle ManagementAdvanced proficiency in billing software and editsAbility to comprehend payer 835 and EOB responsesKnowledge of EDI transaction sets including 837I and 837PWorking knowledge of patient registration and collectionsWorking knowledge of government and managed care billing, coverage and payment rulesrequirementsExcellent customer service skillsExcellent communication (written and verbal) and organization skills requiredAbove average computers skillsPI237269266About the Company:
