Summary:
FirstMed Ambulance is hiring a scheduling operations Coordinator This position is responsible for the scheduling and staffing levels are met for daily Field Operations (BLS, ALS, and SCT), Special Operations, event details, and Communications Staff.

Education and/or
Experience:
Must have one year of previous experience working in an office or customer service environment.
Preferred one year or more scheduling experience.
Preferred one year's EMS experience as an EMT, Dispatcher or Supervisor; Must possess the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to be able to explain and demonstrate:
EMS staffing and scheduling operations; Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Major
Responsibilities:
Review and implement short and long-range strategic planning.
Coordinate operational and administrative activities with the Director of Operations to ensure staffing levels are met.
Conduct reviews of internal departments' capacity and will create necessary changes to staffing and scheduling policies and procedures for operational effectiveness.
Responsible for staffing and oversight in the evaluation of the daily schedule for Ambulance Accounts Receivable, Communications, and special events staff, which includes reviewing the schedule, assigning shifts, and notifying employees of staffing and overtime assignments.
Monitor and provide recommendations for employee resource distribution between shifts to meet business demands.
Modify daily work schedule to meet daily demand and accommodate employees who are sick, injured, on leave, or reassigned, in conjunction with operations Plan for and review employee status to include training, new employee orientation, internship programs, and reassignments.
Review and approve vacations, swaps, emergency leave, military leave, court leave, and standby requests by reviewing the allocation of leave and vacation in anticipation of resources and staffing levels required.
Keep accurate records in the Scheduling software program to allow integration with payroll and other systems.
Provide regular reports to management, which may include:
On-Call lists, Stand by lists, staffing levels, overtime scheduled, relay staffing trends, and other reports as requested.
