The ADMITTING REPRESENTATIVE is responsible for registering patients to the Hospital, including emergency registration.
The duties of the ADMITTING REPRESENTATIVE include,but are not limited to:
Conducting patient/guarantor interview, explaining hospital policies, patient financial responsibilities and patient / resident rights.
Arranges patient admission to the facility.
Receives and interviews incoming patients or relatives to obtain pertinent data and may verify insurance coverage.
Assigns room and coordinates patient's move to assigned room.
Typing and processing necessary admission paperwork, ensuring accuracy of all necessary demographic and financial data.
Identifying payor source for routing of revenue generated during the patient stay.
Ensuring all pre-certification and/or authorization is obtained to meet individual payor payment authorization protocols.
Performing pre-admitting counseling and resolution of routine admitting inquiries and problems.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
High School Graduate or equivalentTwo (2) years of experience in healthcare, insurance or related fieldPrevious experience in an inpatient or outpatient admission setting or physician's office preferredKnowledge / experience in patient accounting or with an insurance payor preferredKnowledge of medical terminologyExcellent customer service skillsExcellent communication (written and verbal) and organization skills requiredProficient computer skills PI238959445About the Company:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
