Director Sales - (HI11218)

Hawker Pacific Aerospace, Sun Valley, CA is seeking a Director Sales to support the Sales Marketing and Customer Support Department. We seek a Director of Sales and Marketing that is passionate, motivated, innovative, and an industry leader with a successful proven track record. This role is responsible for directing the sales and marketing programs, both short and long range, targeted towards existing and new markets globally. Will provide support, accountability, training, drive focused sales efforts to a relationship driven sales team while delivering budget expectations.
Essential Duties:
This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned task. May be assigned some or all duties indicated below depending on job progression level.
1. Accountability for driving revenue growth across the business line to meet or exceed expectations, including identification of revenue drivers and metrics to focus on increasing account volume, profit and penetration.
2. Monitoring performance-to-plan throughout the fiscal year and adjusting direction, focus and sales initiatives as required to deliver volume commitments.
3. Delivering forecasting accuracy of at least 95% to create visibility with all market owners on revenue trends and actions to achieve revenue plans.
4. Understanding the solution sales cycle and challenges, including competitor positioning and strategies, and leveraging this knowledge to hone and articulate sales strategies and activities.
5. Working with all relevant internal stakeholders to use customer feedback and analytical insights in the formation of new products/solutions.
6. Giving the highest priority to customer satisfaction by maintaining effective interpersonal relationships with and listening to customers.
7. Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
8. Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets.
9. Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
10. Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
11. Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
12. Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
13. Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
14. Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
15. Guides preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management.
16. Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.
17. Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
18. Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
19. Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
20. Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
21. Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
22. Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units.
23. Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
24. Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications.
25. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
26. Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
27. Directs product research and development.
28. Responsibility to work with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
29. Performs other duties as required by business needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
I. Directly supervises 10+ employees.
II. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization?s policies and applicable laws.
III. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education: Bachelor?s degree required (Marketing, Communications or Business Administration). Master?s degree preferred.
Experience: Twelve (12) years? experience in Sales Management. Ten (10) years? experience in direct or outside sales.
This position may require use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), or both. U.S. Person preferred. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
